The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD or UT Dallas) is a public research university in the University of Texas System.
The Carnegie Foundation classifies the university as a doctoral research university with “Highest Research Activity” and the undergraduate admissions as “more selective,” both being the highest rank conferred by the foundation. Research projects include the areas of Space Science, Bioengineering, Cybersecurity, Nanotechnology, and Behavioral and Brain Sciences. The University of Texas at Dallas offers more than 138 academic programs across its eight schools and hosts more than 50 research centers and institutes.
UT Dallas wanted to implement a new ERP system focused on the Finance and Human Resources business units. UT Dallas has historically used an array of manual processes and interventions to generate state mandated financial documents.
iOLAP further developed an already implemented data warehouse by sourcing data from existing enterprise applications. A set of OBIEE reporting modules were implemented and customized to meet customer reporting requirements.
Now that UT Dallas has data from multiple application systems in one central data warehouse, they no longer have to rely on manual processes to stich the data together.
